Samantha continues to fight. I really don't know how she does it, she is so incredible.
We have seen a steady decline in her over the past week but she is holding on. She can no longer speak to us at all, she seems to be losing the ability to eat and she is so weak. Her heart rate is fluctuating up and down, and her body temp seems to vary from one side to the other.
Everything we get into her now has to be liquid and given through a syringe. She is sleeping about 20 or more hours a day. Amazingly when she does wake up she will give us an occasional smile or kiss.
Our hearts are breaking every minute for our sweet princess and for all she has been through and continues to go through. This disease is so very ugly and relentless to say the least.
We are holding on to our hope that Samantha will get her miracle and that God will heal her and keep her here with us. It is sometimes hard to keep that focus through all the hurt and anger that comes over us. Please continue to pray for healing for Samantha and for the strength we all need to get through what ever is ahead of us. Thank you all for your continued love, support, and prayers.
With Hope,
Audra, Kurt, Christopher, Samantha, & Jason.

To Samantha and Family:
I am Ashley Brown(16), a second cousin.I have been keeping up with you're blogs ever since my mom (anne) told me about this catastrophe. I can't even explain how much i admire samantha for putting up with this. She is so strong. whenever i think highly of someone, she's there in my mind. I've told people of her, and they extend their admiration as well. I hope the best for samantha.
Lots of love,

I have been following Sam through Catherine and Jason Steigerwald. Our daughter Shelby also has an Anaplastic astrocytoma. I believe you were our neighbors at Ronald McDonald and we didnt even know it. We are sending prayers your way. We are also praying for comfort for Sam, and strength and peace for your family. These children go through so much they shouldnt have too. And they dont complain, they show us how to fight. They are so brave and soooo special to us. But also touch the lives of others that we dont even know. Sam has found a special place in our hearts and we dont even know you guys but through Cat. Please feel free to contact us if you would like or when you have a chance. I would love to visit with you. I am so glad you have Catherine to talk to. She has a lot of knowledge, wise words, and love to share. Please know we are thinking of your family at this time.
Always Believing,
Nicole Grover
